Payroll Management
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Partner with Finance to ensure accurate reconciliation, funding, and reporting of payroll.
Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and drive continuous service improvement.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll laws and tax regulations.
Benefits Administration
Lead the administration of employee benefits programs (health, retirement, wellness, etc.).
Liaise with brokers, vendors, and insurers to manage enrollments, renewals, and employee communications.
Evaluate benefits utilization and market competitiveness; propose enhancements where appropriate.
Resolve escalated employee benefit issues and ensure a positive employee experience.
Leave Management
Oversee leave of absence programs including parental leave and other statutory or company-provided leaves.
Ensure leaves are administered in compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to HRBPs and managers on leave-related issues.
Maintain proper documentation, tracking, and reporting for all leave types.
Share Plan Administration
Manage day-to-day operations of employee equity and share incentive plans in collaboration with Legal and Finance teams.
Support grant cycles, vesting events, and employee communications related to share plans.
Ensure data integrity in equity management systems and provide reporting as needed.
Stay current with equity plan compliance requirements and tax implications.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
Identify opportunities for process automation, efficiency, and scalability within shared services.
Lead and implement HR operational excellence projects using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs for shared services functions.
Continuously evaluate and improve internal controls and audit-readiness.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with labor laws, data privacy regulations and internal policies.
Serve as the point of contact for audits and regulatory inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and leave.
Update and maintain documentation of HR processes and procedures.
Conduct periodic compliance training for relevant stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor a team of HR Shared Services specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with HRBPs, Legal, Finance, and IT to support organizational goals.
Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for complex employee issues and inquiries
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or relevant disciplines
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of people management experience, preferably from an outsourced services or shared services environment
- Strong knowledge of local employment laws and regulations in tax reporting and compliances
- Proven expertise in payroll, benefits, and leave administration; experience with share plan management strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong project management and process improvement skills
- Excellent understanding of employment laws, tax regulations, and HR compliance standards.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
