Our client is one of the global powerhouse in the tire and rubber industry, and they are hiring for a senior sustainability engineer/sustainability lead. In this role, you will be entrusted to lead a small lead of 3.
about the job
- Lead and manage complex sustainability and energy transition engagements, including high-stakes carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3), Science-Based Target setting (SBTi), and the development of actionable Net-Zero roadmaps
- Navigate and advise on the evolving carbon landscape, including carbon credit procurement, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), carbon policy compliance, and the technical development of carbon sequestration or reduction projects
- Act as a technical lead in the business development cycle, crafting compelling bids, technical submissions, and innovative project proposals that win new mandates in the energy transition space
- Take accountability for project delivery by orchestrating resources, managing subcontractors, and maintaining rigorous control over budgets and schedules
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, or Energy), or a related technical discipline
- Experience managing/mentor a team
- Min 5 years of experience in executing sustainability initiatives
