As the Vice President / Associate Vice President of HR Operations, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of HR operations for the firm. You will play a key role in ensuring that HR processes are effective, scalable, and aligned with business objectives, driving a positive employee experience, and supporting HR’s strategic initiatives. You will work closely with senior HR leadership, business leaders, and other stakeholders to continuously improve HR operations and systems.
HR Operations Leadership
- Lead and manage HR operations functions, including HRIS management, payroll, benefits administration, employee life cycle management (onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, etc.), and HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee HR data integrity and ensure HR systems are optimized and compliant with internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Drive the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of HR operations.
HR Systems & Technology
- Manage and oversee the firm’s HRIS system to ensure smooth integration and functionality for employee records, payroll, and reporting.
- Collaborate with the IT department and third-party vendors to maintain and upgrade HR technology tools.
- Leverage HR analytics and data insights to inform decision-making and optimize operational strategies.
Payroll & Benefits Management
- Oversee and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees across multiple geographies, adhering to local laws and regulations.
- Manage benefits administration, including health and wellness programs and other employee perks.
- Ensure that all HR policies and benefits packages are competitive, compliant, and aligned with the firm’s values.
Employee Life Cycle Management
- Oversee the end-to-end process of employee life cycle activities, including onboarding, performance management, talent reviews, and offboarding.
- Lead initiatives to ensure a smooth, positive, and engaging employee experience at every touchpoint from hire to exit.
- Drive programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and other HR-related statutory requirements.
- Oversee audits and compliance checks, ensuring HR practices align with regulatory and corporate governance standards.
- Lead in ensuring data privacy standards are upheld in the management and storage of employee information.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Partner with business leaders and department heads to support the firm’s talent and organizational objectives.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and compliance matters.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless integration of operations and talent management strategies.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in HR operations within financial services or banking.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, HR compliance, and industry regulations, including multi-jurisdictional experience.
- Ability to use data to make informed decisions and drive process improvements.
- Attention to detail with a focus on operational accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to translate business needs into HR operational solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
