This Singapore-based role is for an Antibody Scientist to spearhead the discovery and optimization of antibodies specifically designed for AOC (Antibody-Oligonucleotide Conjugate) platforms.
The successful candidate will focus on extrahepatic tissue targeting, utilizing deep expertise in antibody engineering and characterization to drive therapeutic programs from initial discovery through to Pre-Clinical Candidate (PCC) nomination. This position involves high-level collaboration with an international discovery team to accelerate a robust pipeline of RNAi-based medicines.

Extrahepatic Antibody Discovery: Lead the identification and screening of high-affinity antibodies specifically designed for extrahepatic targeting, utilizing state-of-the-art discovery platforms.
Strategic Antibody Engineering: Design and implement engineering workflows to optimize binding affinity, specificity, and developability profiles, ensuring candidates are ideally suited for AOC (Antibody-Oligonucleotide Conjugate) integration.
Biophysical Characterization: Oversee comprehensive analytical profiling, including KD assessment, detailed epitope mapping, and multi-species cross-reactivity studies.
Multidisciplinary Platform Co-development: Work in tandem with Medicinal Chemistry and Biology leads to innovate and refine next-generation AOC delivery platforms for non-hepatic tissues.
International R&D Integration: Maintain a high-performance working model with the overseas discovery group. This includes synchronizing experimental designs, ensuring data transparency, and aligning project milestones across global sites.
Strategic Outsourcing & CRO Management: Direct external partnerships for antibody generation and characterization, providing oversight on study design, rigorous quality control, and timeline adherence.
Innovation & Intellectual Property: Advance the technical frontier of antibody discovery workflows and contribute to the firm’s IP portfolio and scientific presence through high-impact publications.

skills and experience required
Advanced Academic Background: Ph.D. in Protein Engineering, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
Deep Industry Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience specifically focused on the discovery and engineering of therapeutic antibodies.
Antibody Engineering Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in utilizing modern discovery platforms and engineering strategies to optimize antibodies for therapeutic applications.
Comprehensive Characterization Skills: Proven track record in detailed biophysical and functional analysis, including binding kinetics, functional potency assays, and epitope mapping.
Conjugate Technology (Preferred): Direct industry experience with AOC (Antibody-Oligonucleotide Conjugate) modalities or related complex conjugate technologies is a significant advantage.
Technical Bench Proficiency: Strong hands-on command of molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques essential for high-quality antibody development.
Global Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to thrive in cross-functional and cross-site project teams, with a history of establishing efficient workflows between geographically distributed R&D units.
External Portfolio Management: Experienced in managing CRO partnerships, providing technical oversight on study designs, data quality, and project timelines.
Strategic Problem Solving: Ability to operate independently in a high-growth discovery environment, designing sophisticated experiments and interpreting complex data sets to move programs toward the clinic.
