Our client is a global multinational with a growing presence in the renewable energy industry in the Philippines. Due to an expansion, they are looking for a Head of Legal for their renewable energy operations to be based in Manila to support the growing business operations.

Reporting to the Asia Pacific General Counsel and acting as a key business partner to the country management team, you will provide advice to support the business operations and growth while minimising risk to the organisation. This includes but is not limited to the drafting and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts including PPAs, EPC, O&M and real estate contracts and providing advice on matters involving M&A, project financing and regulatory compliance. You will also ensure compliance to the company’s policies and the country’s laws including but not limited to areas of anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and support any other corporate matters that arise.
skills and experience required.
You are admitted to the Philippines Bar with at least 15 years PQE and solid knowledge and practical experience gained in the renewable energy industry, ideally with utility scale projects. You are versed in advising on commercial transactions, projects and regulatory matters. A confident, hands-on, independent and commercial-minded individual, you have a proven track record in enabling the business and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
