about the job
Portfolio Management: Oversee trademark publications, registration certificates, and renewal processes, ensuring all intellectual property records are accurately maintained and updated.
Database Maintenance: Monitor IP files and internal databases (including document and IP management systems), tracking critical deadlines and ensuring timely follow-ups on publications and registrations.
File Lifecycle: Manage the opening, maintenance, and closing procedures for trademark files in accordance with internal protocols.
Tech Adaptation: Utilize and adapt to advanced internal systems, including document management, specialized IP management platforms, and emerging AI tools.
Ad Hoc Support: Perform other duties, projects, or administrative tasks as assigned to support the practice group.
skills and experience required
The ideal candidate will possess a GCE 'O' Level certificate with a credit in English, a Diploma in Law, or an equivalent qualification, alongside at least 2 years of relevant experience in a legal or intellectual property environment. A basic working knowledge of IPOS rules and procedures is highly advantageous for this role. To excel in this position, you must have professional verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a proven track record of effectively managing competing priorities in a fast-paced setting. Lastly, we are looking for a collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong team spirit who will actively contribute to the seamless and effective functioning of the practice group.
