2023 randstad employer brand awards returns following a 3-year hiatus

From 2020 to 2022, Randstad Singapore took a short hiatus from announcing the results of the Employer Brand Awards due to the unprecedented global COVID-19 pandemic and Russia-Ukraine War.

The world of work has changed significantly since 2020, and so have talent expectations. The global pandemic, social movements and technological advancements as well as environmental challenges have all altered the way people think about their careers, well-being and values. The factors that define employer attractiveness have also evolved for today’s job seekers.

In order to successfully attract and retain the best talent in this new reality, employers have to evolve and adapt to the changing needs and career aspirations of the workforce. Recognising that traditional approaches may no longer be as relevant, organisations must proactively respond to these shifting dynamics. By staying attuned to the changing priorities and expectations of job seekers, employers can strategically align their offerings to create an appealing and supportive environment.

At Randstad, we are committed to being your trusted partner in finding the skilled and talented people you need to drive your business forward. At the same time, we support job seekers in Singapore throughout their working lives to help them find meaningful work that feels good.

about the randstad employer brand award

The Randstad Employer Brand Awards reflect the appeal of the 75 largest commercial employers in Singapore, recognised by at least 10% of the population. The results of the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) are based on public perception and focus on two main areas:

  • overall brand or company awareness
  • absolute employer attractiveness

The goal of the research is to identify the factors that job seekers prioritise when searching for their ideal employer of choice, and to measure their perception of commercial companies in Singapore.

To ensure a level playing field for all companies in the survey, the awards are not open for nomination, and the results are solely based on the opinions of the local Singapore workforce, making it the definitive 'People's Choice' award that truly represents the collective voice.

We gathered input from respondents representing diverse regions, ages, and genders, who were asked to identify companies they recognised and would express their interest to work with. This comprehensive process helped to compile the annual list of the largest commercial companies.

The survey then evaluated employee value proposition drivers, such as salary, benefits, work atmosphere, job content, and other factors.

This independent research is the most representative and inclusive employer brand study in the world, reaching out to nearly 163,000 respondents across 32 markets, including 2,753 who are based in Singapore in January 2023.Establishing a robust employer brand is crucial for attracting and retaining talented people.
