As a Data Center Technical Consultant/Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and promoting data center solutions to clients across various industries. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, your responsibilities will include:
- Solution Selling: Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and tailor data center solutions to meet their needs.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on data center infrastructure, including networking, storage, and security technologies.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor and demonstrating the value of our solutions.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals, data center designs, quotes, and technical documentation to clients, articulating the benefits and features of our data center offerings.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation of data center solutions, addressing any technical challenges or requirements.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands, providing insights to inform strategic sales initiatives.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
skills and experience required
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the data center or IT infrastructure industry.
- Strong understanding of data center technologies, including servers, networking equipment, and cloud services.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and aligning solutions accordingly.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering relates degrees, or a related field is preferred.
- A passion for technology and a drive to stay updated on the latest advancements in the data center industry.
